These terms cover your use of the Deep Focus mobile application, published by Codeur d’Ivoire. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
The licence
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Deep Focus on devices you own or control. The app, its name, its design and its content remain the property of the publisher.
You may not resell, sublicense, rent, decompile or reverse-engineer the app except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.
What the free tier includes
The free tier runs unlimited focus sessions of any length, blocks up to 3 apps at a time, silences those apps’ notifications, tracks your daily goal, your streak and your weekly statistics, and allows 1 daily reminder. It is supported by advertising.
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase
Deep Focus Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices, billing periods and any free-trial length are those displayed in the app at the moment of purchase, in your own currency, as reported by your store.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal. Cancellation is done through your store account — the app provides a direct link to the right page in Settings — and Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
A free trial that is not cancelled before it ends converts into a paid period. Payment is taken by your store, not by us.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Google Play, and refunds are governed by Google Play’s own policy. We cannot issue a refund for a transaction we never received. Where your local consumer law grants you a stronger right of withdrawal, that right applies.
What the app does not promise
App blocking is intentionally escapable. The blocking screen always offers a way out, the system keys keep working, and the underlying Android permission can be revoked at any time. Deep Focus is a tool that adds friction at the moment of a reflex; it is not a security product, a parental-control product, or a guarantee that you will not use an app.
App blocking, notification silence and the home-screen widget are available on Android only. On iOS these features are not implemented, and the app says so rather than pretending otherwise.
Android manufacturers vary in how aggressively they suspend background processes, and permissions can be revoked by the system. Deep Focus is designed to survive these cases, but cannot warrant that blocking is uninterrupted on every device.
The app is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher excludes implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including any loss said to result from a distraction that was or was not blocked.
Acceptable use
Use Deep Focus for your own focus. Do not use it to restrict another person’s device without their knowledge and consent, and do not use it in a way that breaks the law where you are.
Changes and termination
These terms may change; the date at the top of this page changes with them, and continuing to use the app after a material change means accepting it. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, which ends this licence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Côte d’Ivoire, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you habitually reside.
